  • The research is very detailed, and somewhat interesting. The student has learned quite a bit about his or her chosen country.
  • The project is slightly unfinished, but mostly competed by all deadlines.
  • Student has shown some interest in the project and in the research.
  • Student has been fairly thorough in research.
  • The student has completed less than 10 of the original questions. The research has gaps, but is mostly complete. The student could have learned more about the country.
  • The project was not completed by the stated deadlines.
  • Student has not shown much interest beyond completing the assigned questions.
Neatness
  • The final project is neat, attractive, and the there are no grammatical errors.
  • The presentation is interesting to look at, and the student uses various sources to display it.
  • The final project is very neat, very attractive, and there are few grammatical errors.
  • The student uses more than one way to display the information.
  • The final project is somewhat neat, mostly attractive, and there are several grammatical errors.
  • The student’s display is limited to one main way that it is shown.
Seriousness in class
  • The student has been extremely focused in class, using research time well.
  • The student shared information where appropriate, and has taken excellent notes.
  • The student has shown dedication to the project and to learning about his or her country.
  • The student has been mostly focused in class, and has used research time very well.
  • The student usually stayed on task, and sometimes shared information where appropriate.
  • The student added to the classes general knowledge.
  • The student has not stayed completely focused in class, but has been mostly on track.
  • Research time has usually been used well.
  • The student found it difficult to research the project and was often distracted by non-project related information in class.
Sources and bibliography
  • The student has used more than four resources for the project, and has created an excellent bibliography.
  • All sources have been cited appropriately.
  • The student has used three resources for the project, and has created a good bibliography.
  • Most sources have been cited appropriately.
  • The student has used two resource and has not documented his or her sources very well.
  • Several sources have not been cited appropriately.
